Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 May 19, 2010 1:40 pm Hi everyone, im in the process of building my first house and have noticed an bit of an issue with the colourbond posts that are holding the front verada up...there must have been a discrepancy with the height of the colourbond posts that are supporting the front veranda when they were erected, because the poles are obviously not long enough and have therefore been propped up by a sort of Gyprock or similar material. I have contacted my builder in regards to this concern and they have advised me that this is ‘common practice and the posts just need to be bolted’. Does anyone know if this is true? photos are here http://s781.photobucket.com/albums/yy97 ... struction/ Any help would be appreciated thanks.
