Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Jan 25, 2010 10:16 pm Hi, Does anyone know the standards for the connection from the street gas run to the house gas meter. Our new house that is being built has the gas come in on one side (the garage), then goes up the wall and into the roof space across to the other side of the house and then down in to the gas meter (which is part of an external electrical/gas combo), gas pipes then feed back to the appliances... (total length of the run probably 30-40m to the meter). If it matters the pipes are yellow (PE I assume) - photos can be provided if needed. I would have thought the gas feed should go relatively direct from the street to the meter (buried). I think the reason they did this was the previous house (that was demolished on the site) has the gas fed from the same side. Just a little concerned with all the gas pipes in the ceiling. Cheers, Firstbuild (learning lots...) What we have done in a few theatres ( including my own) is run 2 layers of 13mm gyprock, but sounds insulation especially for the bass is really tricky as a lot of that… 4 2553 4 10821 |
