Australian vs European Plywood standards

What exactly do you need to know?
Plywoods are graded from A to D for their faces. A and B are generally high quality that would be used for furniture. Both faces can be graded so an AB ply has a front face A grade and back face of B etc.
The type of glue used dictates whether it's interior, exterior or marine grade and finally there is the number of plys used. Typically the higher the amount the more stable the ply will be.
The timber species is also important if you are going to apply a stain or varnish. This is the biggest difference between different plys from various countries.
Birch ply is usually an attractive ply with good stability and is usually used in better quality plywoods however if you follow the grading system you will find what you want.
