Browse Forums Building Standards; Getting It Right! 1 Jun 24, 2022 12:03 pm Hi All Thoughts on repositioning a bathroom doorway closer to an existing landing at the top of our internal stairs. Unsure if this will still be compliant to the BCC landing rule (750mm), given the door is located to one side of the landing (and not immediately opposite). BCA also references ‘500mm from the inside edge of landing where it involves a change in direction’, but where is this measured to/from (is it from the edge of tread to the ‘door hinge’)? Photo for reference: https://imageshack.com/i/pnmn1NdWj Greatly appreciate any advice on this matter. You will need to replace the entire stairs.
