Re: downpipe and plumbing 6Jan 28, 2022 3:15 pm interesting SaveH2O . all the plans I've seen for storm water for the houses I've built mention minimum 600 depth. Does that not have to be the case, or have I missed something fundamental here? Dark matter scientist, can breathe underwater, mind reader and can freeze matter just by willing it. It would be extremely difficult in most instances to have a minimum 600mm depth and connect to a LPOD without creating a sump. Land developers who are grading the lots are already making it difficult for plumbers to achieve minimum compliant pipe slopes with a minimum 100mm cover when there is no paving or vehicular traffic. It is a growing problem. 3in1 Supadiverta. Rainwater Harvesting Best Practice using syphonic drainage. Cleaner Neater Smarter Cheaper Supa Gutter Pumper. Re: downpipe and plumbing 8Jan 29, 2022 7:42 am From NCC Part 2 3.1.3.5 Stormwater drainage (c) Cover to stormwater drains: the cover to 90 mm Class 6 UPVC stormwater drains installed underground must be not less than— (i)under soil — 100 mm; or (ii)under paved or concrete areas — 50 mm; or (iii)under areas subject to light vehicle traffic— (A)reinforced concrete — 75 mm; or (B)paved — 100 mm. The NCC's reference to Class 6 UPVC stormwater pipe is 'baffling' given that class 6 is a pressure rating given to some UPVC pressure pipes, the other pressure pipes being either Class 12 or Class 9. 3in1 Supadiverta. Re: downpipe and plumbing 9Feb 02, 2022 10:48 pm I'd be interested to know what size pipe they have used? what's the roof area its servicing and that trench looks to be over excavated, so when they backfill that line is going to belly out. We are Expert Consultant's, and we are here to help. Re: downpipe and plumbing 10Dec 02, 2022 8:57 am BuildingandLegal I'd be interested to know what size pipe they have used? It looks to be a 100mm x 75mm downpipe connecting to a 100mm x 80mm x 100mm DP adaptor transferring water through some other fittings to a 90mm stormwater pipe. Why they never used a 100mm x 80mm x 90mm DP adaptor is something i cannot explain. 3in1 Supadiverta. Rainwater Harvesting Best Practice using syphonic drainage.
