Flu vent on roof

Hi All. Long time since I've been here since the pandemic. Hope all are well.

Gas Heating
New gas heater and flu were installed to premises, but there is no vent on the roof (to remove gases into the open air from the flu).

This doesn't sound right to me. Are there any guidelines in regard to the above? Thank you in advance.

Thanks for your replies.

Have been advised: "installation of flue through external wall".

It's normal everyday has.

Not trying to be pedantic, but 'normal everyday gas' doesn't exist, it's either LPG or NG...there are others too but these are the most common and I didn't want to confuse the issue further which is why I asked, as they have different properties

As the Castrol TV commercial in 1988 said...Oils ain't oils, Sol! But in your case, it's 'Gas ain't Gas, Sol'

Sorry for the confusion. It's not LPG because it's not bottled gas. Just the gas that Origin Energy supplies to residential properties through their gas line network. Thanks.
