We will be building with a well known building company. Our facade/external has vertical scyon axon cladding. I'm not impressed with this material and would like to swap the cladding with brick, but our customer service rep says we can't because it needs to be light material for it to be structurally sound. She said bricks are too heavy. I've never heard such a thing before.
Is this true? They said we can only have weatherboard/ render. They want $5000 more to put in weatherboards. I have a feeling that they are up selling.
If anyone could share their knowledge I would greatly appreciate it.
Kind regards,
