The problem with your statement is that what you dont know CAN hurt. Massively. Have you not been reading these forums? If a builder tells you something is "fine" and you know for a fact to the contrary, this should be alarm bells for anyone and result in you looking harder and longer at your build for any other issues propping up. You totally missed my point. If it's too late and you haven't had an inspection or taken photos, why the heck are you going to worry yourself to death? You don't even know if there are any problems. Everything could be right for all you know. That's all I'm saying. If something is wrong and you're told its ok then it's up to you to follow it up and probe till your heart is content. I must clarify with my situation I'm just bringing up issues as I identify them. If the builder says that it's fine, I'm ok with that. I'll just highlight those issues to my building inspector and if it's a real issue they can put it in their report with the applicable standard reference.
