I've been reading over my contract just now and I've come across something of interest.
For some back story, moved into my house about 12 months ago, haven't signed off on the final inspection or anything because they haven't fixed all the problems that an independent inspector raised and haven't actually contacted me for about 3 months now, but that's for another time.
I read this line and would like a simpler definition of it.
'CUT TO BE 1.0m MINIMUM FROM EDGE OF BUILDING AND BATTERED BACK AT 45degrees (Min) UNLESS OTHERWISE SHOWN. CUT OUTSIDE HOUSE LINE TO FALL AWAY FROM HOUSE TO TOE OF BATTER BY 75mm MINIMUM.'
I'd like to know what is meant by cut? What is the batter and the toe of the batter? Where would otherwise shown be?
From my understanding from reading this, my land should slope away from my house, but everywhere around my house, bar the front yard, slopes towards my house, something which the independent inspector picked up on and wrote up in his formal report as the most serious issue.
I really appreciate anyone taking the time to reply.
Thank you all in advance
Kind regards,
tecstar
