This username is actually my dear old Dad's old email login, makes no sense to most people I always wished for twins, until I had my first - only a single and then I thought my goodness how do mother's of multiples handle everything, I only have 1 and I never get anything done My karma ran over your dogma Re: another new builder 25Aug 02, 2008 9:00 pm 'chelle Hi Bel, I think given Paula might have meant to post this link, in case you are becoming addicted https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=7598 Thats exactly what I was trying to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks Michelle Get a champagne and get it over and done with ………… Mmm maybe I work better full of bubbles Paula Re: another new builder 26Aug 02, 2008 9:31 pm Quote: Helyn - yes will be having the white mortar...a strong look...is this your way of being polite saying you don't like?? No, not at all - I just meant it would look striking as a strong colour statement, that's all, I can imagine it looking very good but you wouldn't need real contrast with roof etc as oppossed to, say, the look of cream bricks with very contrasting red roof, which is a popular combination around here. I love looking at other people's colours and facades, such an interesting variety of styles, sometimes things are very different to what I would do myself but still can appreciate their appeal. Re: another new builder 27Aug 02, 2008 9:50 pm Agree totally, DH was always dark brick dark brick (better be careful how I type that after a few wines...d's and ick's in the same sentence...) therefore the color choice. But you are sooo right Helyn it is very interesting about what people choose, and as a very big generalisation - the different states seem to have their preferred choice. Still not in. Don't ask!? Re: another new builder 28Aug 09, 2008 3:52 pm Hi Bel #2 welcome to the forum. Love all your selections (did you write the brand/name of your bricks?) We are having Striata Charcoal Grey roof tiles too (colour through), will go to our block/house tomorrow to see them finally! Love Ironstone, we were thinking about using it but ended up going with Woodland Grey. We've not been very adventurous with our colours - pretty much everything will be Woodland Grey!
Good luck with the build, look forward to seeing your plans! H2B Happy at Home Re: another new builder 29Aug 21, 2008 8:29 pm Hi H2B, lol with the selections, we did think about the woodland grey, but ended up with the ironstone for something different. Its taken me a while to get on here - DH o/s, kids sick, me sick, work trip argghh.
Anyway thanks for the hi Bel Still not in. Don't ask!? |
