Hi, i'm Tracey and I live in Sydney with my husband and 2 young kids
I've been lurking around the forums for a bit, and now that we're starting to look into building, I want to post and get into the community here a bit more
I've always loved the idea of building our own home, I used to sketch out floorplans and entire towns as a kid, and I love visiting display homes and collecting samples of things. Now that the process is more real, there's alot more stress but this forum has been so good in terms of info and advice.
♥ hoping to build in 2011!

Matty here from Melbourne Vic.
Just bought a run down place in the Eastern suburbs.
Got heaps of ideas but need to learn more about building / renovating (and losing sleep)
I work in finance so my time is limited during the week.
Love to fiddle with the place on weekends.
I hope to read plenty of good stories and advice from you all.

I have already bought Land in Bluestone Green and am looking to build later this year.

My name is Sacha. New in building a home in Australia and new to the country itself. We only moved here 10 months ago, but found the perfect block of land in the area where we are now renting. Which is a good thing, since now we donot have to make new friends (again) and look for a new school (again..).
We are building in The Greens in Butler (Perth) and the house will be an Aveling Home, a version of the Sensation.
I'm looking forward to lots of tips and trics!

I'm pondering renovating a few parts of my house atm and this seemed like a good place to find info. I'm looking into an attic renovation, back deck and general tidy up of other stuff in my old house which I love too much to leave!

I'm Liz =) My partner Damien and I are building our first home in Skye, Melbourne. It is nearly complete, but wish I had've stumbled across this site earlier! It has been a slow journey, but are both glad to be nearly finished.
It's just the two of us, but have decided to build a 4 bedroom house. That way if we end up not ever moving this house will do us. And if we do move, the resell is better than a 3 bedroom.
Anyway, that's us =)

I'm Jess, I'm 24, and 10-ish months ago my partner Robbie and I bought our first home.
I wanted to join a forum to discuss decorating ideas (decorating is all we can afford to do at the moment, haha) and later on the renovations to our kitchen and bathroom, and other upgrades we want to do in the future, with likeminded people, and to see what other people in similar situations are doing, and generally connect with other home owners.

Hmmm Maybe I should introduce myself... I didn't realise this thread existed hee he.
I'm Aimee & My partner is Leigh. We have just finished renovating our first home & it is currently on the market! We have purchased a block of land in Brightwater on the Sunshine Coast & have paid our deposit to our builder. We are going with Adenbrook & building the Cebel.
Currently in Limbo as our land doesn't settle until June (Still under construction) so we can't even have our soil test! We really need our house to sell before we can go any further with our build... so if you know anyone that wants a great little house on the Sunshine Coast let me know haa ha.
I have already had some great advice from existing members!
