Hello! I'm a Tassie boy about to relocate to the Nation's Capital (i.e. Canberra) later this year.
I'll be working in Tuggeranong, so I'm looking at either building or buying a 4-bedroom home under the ACT's Land-Rent scheme in either Coombs or Wright. I'm assuming that either suburb is about 20-30 minutes drive from Tuggers (sic?), but also a relatively easy commute to the CBD as well.
Also, my father has offered to chip in some funds to pay for the property. Which sounds great, but it's also stressful because he's pretty stubborn and wants his own way on everything.
Looking for a Land-Rent property in Canberra while in Tassie has been unbelievably stressful. It's so bloody hard looking for a house when you're not living there already, and your father is trying to push you into securing the property before you arrive there later in the year!
So I hope you don't mind if I come here and vent occasionally, or ask for advice.
