Re: just signed up.. 2Dec 15, 2013 9:56 pm Hey deefeez46waldorf I'm in the same boat, doing the 46 and starting Mar/April. I'm actually building in Point Cook, so we are pretty close. What upgrades did you end up picking? Wouldn't mind comparing to see if there's something else that's worth upgrading Re: just signed up.. 3Dec 16, 2013 7:12 pm we have settled for the beaumaris facade with corner block wrap around from front facade as feature, all we have is guest front instead of study/lounge, colorbond roof, zoned heating/refrigerated cooling, upgraded door sizes downstairs, full gallery as per display, laundry as displayed and staircase as displayed ,2 aluminium stacker doors thats all really, put 5k aside for electrical, its the site costs and land costs that are the killers Re: just signed up.. 4Dec 16, 2013 7:32 pm Hey Deefeez46waldorf Have you considered having the balustrade from stairs wrap around the upstairs void instead of plaster? Just looks alot better instead of a plaster wrap around the void. You may also need to put in a full screen in terrace so you dont look into your neighbours property. Did you consider getting NBN in your area? Would you want eaves and roof sarking? Bedroom ensuites would you want to consider having a sliding door? Just out of curiosity, how much more was the full galley as displayed and laundry as displayed? FYI I've done quite a bit of research on the electricals, 5k is at the low end. If you want to wire in your home theatre, ie, speaker wires around the room, and projector wiring on ceiling + Network your home with Cat6 + NBN you are looking at $15K at least. That's not including, alarm and intercom, LCD display upstairs and downstairs. Which again will need to be wired during the building stages. There are wireless intercoms now which I have not explored. If I can think of anything else, I'll let you know. But let me know how much the cost are for galley/laundry as displayed. I might consider that option. Cheers Re: just signed up.. 5Dec 16, 2013 8:39 pm we already have nbn connection included. gallery is roughly $2k, laundry is around $1499,we have the timber/iron stair case wrap around in void area, our terrace will be facing the road side(corner block) but will eventually close it in.eves, d/glazing etc are estate guidelines, unsure about electrical untill we go tender |
