Hi all!
My name is Holly, we will soon be building our first home in the Sunrise at Wellard estate. Who else is building in this estate? Would be great to get to know some of the new neighbours!

Would love to see your houseplan etc Re: Sunrise at Wellard 3Jan 22, 2014 7:58 pm Hey there! It's lovely in your estate, went for a drive through not too long ago! We are building with dreamstart and are just about to get our final plans signed off (well variations from the final plans) and are hoping for a slab some time in February. I don't have a houseplan on my iPad at the moment but can post one when I am on my PC. How far are you into the building process? Would love to see your plans too if you have them available! There doesn't seem to be many others building in sunrise on this forum, however it is a small estate and many of the houses are house and land packages. Re: Sunrise at Wellard 4Jan 22, 2014 9:55 pm This is the link to my build thread whee you can see our houseplan. We are building with Homegroup WA http://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=67626 I went for a drive through Sunrise Estate for the first time last weekend. I couldn't believe how much work has goneon in there and that so many houses have been/currently being built. I'm assuming they're going to try and keep a little bit of the rural look? I love to see a few trees and a bit of bush around cos they seem to destroy everything Re: Sunrise at Wellard 5Jan 22, 2014 10:39 pm I am building in Providence Estate so just down the road but I did look at Sunrise - another estate I better take a drive through!! Providence Estate - Wellard, WA - Ventura https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=68532 Pinterest (all selections): http://www.pinterest.com/aimees88/final-house-selections/ Re: Sunrise at Wellard 6Jan 22, 2014 11:00 pm Wow your house is massive! Looks great! Ours is quite small, as our block is only 12.6 wide. I can't seem to find where to upload photos, but we went on the Dream Manor house design and made a fair few changes, especially to the master/WIR/ensuite. Yes I love how they have left lots of trees and the rural look. They have done a lot of work in there! Aimee friends of ours are also building in the Providence estate, I will tell her about this forum Re: Sunrise at Wellard 7Jan 22, 2014 11:11 pm I just checked out the Dream Manor. Love the design. It has a nice flow to it. Have you kept it pretty much the same? Re: Sunrise at Wellard 8Jan 22, 2014 11:16 pm Yes it's basically the same except we have made the master design where you walk through the to WIR's with his and hers on either side, then through to the ensuite with separate toilet and we made the shower a double shower. We added a wall/doors to the theatre and study. We also extended the kitchen bench out and added double sliding robes in the minor bedrooms. We also added storage in the garage. Apart from those changes it is pretty much the same design! We are very happy with it, especially as our first house. Your place has lots of storage, something I think we may be lacking a bit but with our block size it was hard to get in everything we wanted. Re: Sunrise at Wellard 9Jan 22, 2014 11:25 pm I've always liked the walk through in master bedroom between wir to ensuite, and definitely a good idea to add the doors to theatre and study. In our first build (our current home) we couldn't afford to put doors on our theatre room at build, took 8 years til we could finally afford doors and now have an actual theatre room and now we shall build again Re: Sunrise at Wellard 10Jan 22, 2014 11:32 pm Yes we went to many displays and found we likes the walk-through to the ensuite. That was our major change to the design, there was another design with that type of ensuite already in the plan but the rest of the house wasn't quite what we wanted. But the builder has been great with our changes. Putting doors on the theatre and study were a definite for us! There are always things you can't afford to do, there are several things we would also have liked to do but can't with our first home, we have already got a list of things to include in our 2nd house!!! Haha. Least now you can focus on making your 2nd build exactly what you want! I love the doors you have on your theatre in your plan Re: Sunrise at Wellard 11Jan 22, 2014 11:46 pm Haha no harm in planning ahead. We aren't really that much wiser being our 2nd build. I think I am more stressed about trying to get everything just right this time I need to relax Loads of powerpoints and storage are the main things we lacked in our 1st build, so I may go a little crazy with powerpoints Re: Sunrise at Wellard 13Jan 29, 2014 12:28 pm Hi Holly, Ive just started the building process in Sunrise as well. Heres a link to my build thread you can check out. Have you started a build thread for me to have a look at?! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69292&p=1129214#p1129214 Maybe we are neighbours even! Re: Sunrise at Wellard 14Jan 29, 2014 12:47 pm Hey there, Thanks for commenting! I had a quick look at your thread, your house design is pretty much the same as ours! We are in affinity st, what street are you? We are hoping for a slab by end of feb. I haven't started a thread, I actually don't know how to add photos etc! Haven't used this very much. Ahhh we are on the same street. Though im guessing if your hoping to get the slab down in Feb you are at the start of the street. My block is down in the next section of Affinity Street (crossing over Harmony Street) Its not expected to be titled till Mid March. So slab for me wont be at least till April/May I would say. Would love to keep an eye out on your progress and see how everything is panning out for you. Keep me updated. Re: Sunrise at Wellard 16Jan 29, 2014 3:56 pm Ah that's awesome! Best street of the estate haha. Yes we are in the top part, right near where they have got a couple of slabs down for aspirion homes. The blocks down your end are coming together very quickly! Who are you building with? We are building with dreamstart. Will get some pics up once I can work out how to show progress Re: Sunrise at Wellard 17Jan 29, 2014 8:18 pm I finally worked out how to add photos so here is the link to our build thread! viewtopic.php?f=31&t=69315 |
