Browse Forums Introductions 1 Oct 05, 2012 2:32 pm Hi all, I've found a house and booked in for a meeting with the bank next week re finance. My main reason for buying is long-term security for the kids - the loan repayments go toward their future, not to a landlord. Though the house needs a few repairs, it's a great start! I'll be dropping in to the forum from time to time, hoping to get some tips on DIY, to avoid paying professionals for every little repair. Leisa - mum of two, graphic designer and printing guru. Re: First Home Buyer in Vic - PENDING FINANCE 2Dec 18, 2012 7:50 am I can say I am happy for you. It is the right path, and although at times difficult, ultimately very rewarding. go for it! Re: First Home Buyer in Vic - PENDING FINANCE 3Dec 18, 2012 7:56 am Thanks Leighton, the big stuff starts tomorrow with asbestos removal. Then I can book the electrician and plumber. The rest of it will be mostly DIY with some help from my handy hubby, brother and nephews. Leisa - mum of two, graphic designer and printing guru. You will obviously save alot of money doing it yourself and you will be able to stand back at the end with pride knowing you put some hard work in to get ahead.
