My name is Adam Borzy, 33 years old. I live in Gold Coast, QLD. I spent my career in the field of horticulture and landscape construction. For a long time I love all the greens the earth has to offer and discovering new places to go. In other words, I enjoyed gardening and camping so much for a long time. My passion are but not limited of course to 4x4ing, tennis, golf, or anything outdoors regardless if it’s a suburban backyard or the outback. Just doing the usual things a normal person like you would do I guess. I am here with the intention of joining your helpful and friendly discussion forums. Just like a normal person, I hope to hang out, talk and meet others with similar interests like mine, share my own opinion, advice, suggestion or information with everyone and to ask questions and of course, get the answers I need. Hope to hear from you all soon Hmmmm..Adam, with all those activities I'd be interested in hearing which country you are based in...... Hello Deemaree, On the 'lately not so sunny' Gold Coast. Used to live in Brisbane's western suburbs before that. Gold cost is pretty good for all of those activities, that's not a problem, finding time for them is Thanks for the interest. Adam Re: Hey, y’all meet another friendly neophyte... 29May 04, 2012 5:48 pm It can be whatever you want it to be. It was off the net. I told my wife, these guys taking the pi$%#@ out of me, and I can't work out what they are on about...LOL Had no idea what the "real" thing was about Anyway, cool house I like it. I am trying to find out how to upload pics to here, so I could add a few of mine as well. Nothing special, just a small garden. But I thought I'd share it with you as well. Would you be able to tell me how you upload the pictures please? Thank you Janet. Unreal Adam Re: Hey, y’all meet another friendly neophyte... 34May 05, 2012 5:32 pm Go to http://www.tinypic.com Upload the pics by changing the default size to 17" screen And then copy and paste the " forum link" only straight into your post here. The photo will show. I guess we don't get a lot of people log on, say they like tennis and stuff and then not come back on when they get a reply to their post. We get a lot of trolls. Re: Hey, y’all meet another friendly neophyte... 35May 05, 2012 9:42 pm HI Adam welcome. you'll get used to everyone if you stick around. Honestly we are a friendly bunch. Re: Hey, y’all meet another friendly neophyte... 36May 05, 2012 9:57 pm IF you dont use tiny pics (not everyone likes tiny things Kiwi ) you can also use photobucket, well thats what I use. Upload your photos then when they are uploaded hover over the pic a box will drop down click on the IMG code copy it then paste it into your post on here and Bobs your Aunty you have pics Good to see we didn't scare you off (and we may have been taking the p*ss out of you just a little bit ) But it seems you've held your own as you are still here and haven't run away with your tail between your legs yet so all good I'm surprised you didn't like the pics of my first pond tho the one with the Island in it. YOu have supply pics tho or we wont believe your real we are a hard crowd to please Cheers Janet Re: Hey, y’all meet another friendly neophyte... 38May 08, 2012 9:42 pm Alright, thank you for your help guys. And for your patience I've been having issues with convincing myself if I am real or not in the last few days. Been crazy busy with work, I don't even know where my head is... Anyway, I got my head around adding pictures after all (after getting someone at work to show it to me LOL) Anyway, here are some pix of my backyard. Rather small, but hey I like it a lot. I was going to take some new pictures, but I have been working long hours and have not been home in daylight for quite some time. Anyway, here we go: I did all the landscape after buying the house 7 years ago. Lot of the plants I propagated myself ... These are the ones I have uploaded (with some help and I know now how to do it, so I'll add more as my time allows. Anyway, let me know what you think and I'll try to get some more recent photos uploaded some time in the future. Do you guys have photos of your gardens uploaded? Please let me know, I would love to check them out too. I better go and get some sleep Good night. Adam Re: Hey, y’all meet another friendly neophyte... 39May 08, 2012 9:58 pm Looks very lush. Nice! I have yard pics on my thread, link below. We have an acre in NZ Nothing as pretty as yours though Adam. Well done you Re: Hey, y’all meet another friendly neophyte... 40May 08, 2012 10:07 pm Hi Adam good to see that you may infact be real I have a couple of questions about your garden (which looks great by the way ) How come most of the plants are in pots and not in the ground ??? Did you do the crazy pav yourself ? And just because I love frogs do you get many frogs in your garden and if yes what sort ???? I had a bit of a giggle over your question about our gardens (well mine anyway) and I shall post a photo ( a pic paints a thousand words) and you shall understand Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I live on 7 acres of nothing but grass LOL Until we get our bore down we wont be planting much garden (we have all the pipework around the land so when the bore is in most of the land will have water accessable to it) No point planting until we know we can water it and I not walking 500 metres with a watering can every day LOL We do plan on having an extensive garden tho when the bore goes in and we get our sh*t together (read prob never) Had a lovely garden in our old house and that was the reason for moving out onto the larger acreage. Now I'm tired and rambling LOL |
