Hi all,
I'm new! hehe. My wife and I are new home builders. We had a 3x2 which we were in from 2003-2010, and in that time we've had two kids and needed more space! We decided to sell, and build! I knew it was time when I had to sacrifice my 'cinema room' to fit all the kids (and their stuff) in. (we have a 3yo daughter and a 18m old son)
We decided to build with Dale Alcock, we are also blogging about the experience on their web site! Sounds crazy right? I know. We actually told them we would be blogging the experience, when they asked us if we would be interested in blogging it right on their site. We agreed on the condition that there was no catch and we could write what we wanted and link where we wanted.
So far our experience has been quite good. Stressful sometimes, and a massive learning curve, but we are enjoying it. It's been hard, with two kids, both of us work, my wife studies at uni, etc. We are getting there though, and are currently at brick-stage.
I'm not sure if I can link to our blog or not (posting rules?). Maybe someone can clarify for me. In any case, it's on the DAH website, under blogs.
Our aim is to get photos and words up as much as possible, with whatever we are thinking about, experiencing, seeing, etc. There is no holding back! I also figured it would be a neat opportunity to throw up some educational posts too (things I've learned along the way which might benefit others).
A friend of mine told me about this site (homeone), it's incredible. Really looking forward to reading through. Already found some awesome threads on landscaping, and the 'things you forget' thread is just great!
Glad to be here, information overload!
Cheers, James
