Yeh well thats what we recently bought . The place is on 1195m in Castle Hill , NSW and was derelict . Was unable to get to the front door of the house as it was that overgrown and by pulling out waist high weeds was able to get into the back of the house after 10 minutes clearing a path . It had rather extensive neglect , a dog had chewed almost every bit of woodwork in the house , the kitchen was black from mouse & rat droppings and it was covered in plastic 60's wallpaper of a dozen different types . But , the house was structurally good , the block size for the area is very big , it is zoned for home businesses and is 5 minutes walk from the town center . Plus , we bought it for less than land value as we were one of only two groups to view the interior(20+ were stopped by the weeds apparently) . It's a big job but we are up to it . Last year we renovated an 80 year old house and sold that so we have a realistic idea of what is needed . As I'm still recovering from a broken ankle(fishing accident) I'll be doing the bulk of the work we want to be moved in by the end of May .
