HELLO
My name is Hayley and I have been reading tidbits from this forum for a while now.
My family, (which includes myself, my husband, our 4 Children U7 and our dog), are currently planning some renovations and extensions. We have lived in our wharfie built fibro shack for the last 9 years and have just received council approval for an extension and other work.
The design aspects are pretty much decided...but colours, well they are so hard to decide.
The current plan is for our flat roofed house to have Surfmist roofing, gutters and fascia and colorbond cladding running horizontally in the Dune colour with 2 feature walls of ply cladding (axon or shadow clad) in Woodland Grey. All windows will eventually be white or birch and the window surrounds will be a white (surf mist?) to contrast with the dune. I am not sure on the eaves as yet.
Internally we are aiming to have neutral walls.....I had originally thought half strength Hogs Bristle but am now considering a greyer white??. The wall colour will hopefully be the same throughout the house with only different levels of colour to change things up. The internal skirting is to be white and will hopefully strike a lovey contrast against the walls.
I had my heart set on a white on white kitchen but have recently seen a lovely onyx gloss cupboard from polytech that had me swooning so I may have a white and onyx kitchen so would love a wall colour that would compliment that.
Any advice is welcome, I will be starting my Reno blog soon, depending on time allowed by my darling children,
Thanks for reading, Hayley.
