Gday All,
I have just discovered this site and have been very impressed with the collective knowlege and helpfullness of the members.
Having spent eight years in our current house ( a 1930s Qlder ) renovating to a point where we are happy with it, we ( probably more me.....) decided that apart from both working full time and raiseing 2 young boys we need a bit more stress in our lives.
So with virtualy no forthought or planning we have purchased a one owner 1930s Qlder with fantastic views of the city. The house was owned by a man who recently turned 100 and who decided that he would stop decorating in 1971. What could possibly go wrong with this plan , I'm sure that everything will go off without a hitch and that our lives will continue in wedded bliss without any auguments whatsoever
So now we are in the process of detailing our existing home to sell and going through the mysteries of the BCC planning process to get permission to relocate and raise the house on the block. I hope to get some photos of the progress ( or lack of ) and post online when I can figure it out.
In the meantime I will keep on reminding myself that its a marathon not a sprint....ommmmmm....ommmmmmm.ommmmm
cheers
Alex
