HI there guys and gals,

just bought an old house and needed some tips. nice forum

I'm a landscape gardener, I've been a publican, plasterer and a part-time stripper, althought not quite in Jamie Durie's league.
Ilove to "fix up" things and enjoy seemingly timeless moments wandering the isles of any hardware store.

Hope to find some inspiration from this site.

Hi Sil, i dont know much about renovating, the two previous homes of mine have been built from scratch but i am looking at doing some renovating in six months or so and would be interested in hearing how things develop for you. any ref to good or bad companies/services would be useful as i am also in WA

Hi all

Just found this forum and it looks like an interesting place to hang out after a days renovating, so you may see me arround...

I'm also from WA, I live in Chittering 65km north of Perth on 5 acres with no nieghbours so very quite

We are on solar with diesel genset for backup power (installed Solar installation myself) Bought this property nearly three years ago and have started renovating it. Doing the master bedroom and ensuite first and plan to work through the house one stage at a time.

Also my wife (who is in Realestate) and myself are currently renovating and developing three subdividable properties in Perth. So I'm going to be living, eating and sleaping home reno's and going through the building experience three times over in one year! :shock:

So if all goes well I might be usefull for a question or two but if it starts to turn pear shaped I might be on here asking for alot of advice :lol:

At the moment I'm about 1/3 of the way through a full renovation of a 30 year old house. It was a 3 by 1 which I'm converting to a 3 by 2. Before I started the project I was a little concerned I'd bitten off more than I can chew, but uppon sinking my teath into the project I'm really enjoying it.

I would like to be doing property development full time within six months to one year.
