Had our plans marked 'deferred commencement consent' about 3weeks ago and we're still waiting for final final approval. We've had to make changes to plans for council to approve - then they were approved (BUT only if we made more changes). I guess we're lucky they didn't reject our DA completely but would have been nice to get all the changes done at once. Taken approx 2-3 more months that it should have, not to mention the few extra $$$ to get plans redrawn (again!) and costs involved in dropping the whole house down by 30cm. (Hope we don't hit rock!!) Throw in Easter and the Council staff on holidays and our timelines have blown out ridiculously! Fingers crossed for final approval this week and we can get the bulldozers to move in Re: Hi from The Shire 24May 06, 2011 10:30 pm OMG!!! bignewadveture, that's a shocker I have everything crossed for your approval this week. Please let us know how you go, will be hoping all goes smoothly. You must be just about "over it" before you have even started??? www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Hi from The Shire 25Jul 16, 2011 9:54 am We're on our way!
Finally got Council approval in May and demo team moved in on Tuesday. We now have big holes in our walls - YAY! Signed up pool guy and landscape dude too. So I'd better start my own thread to share my trials and tribulations with the masses - I'm sure there'll be plenty. And get some tips from the experts on the way. viewtopic.php?f=31&t=49555 Re: Hi from The Shire 26Jul 16, 2011 10:16 am Oh wow that's fantastic news! Yes start a thread, that will be great.
