Browse Forums Feng Shui 1 Jul 15, 2009 4:26 pm my DH and I seem to be arguing a lot since we've moved I don't get it, we hardly ever argued before and now it's over anything and everything. Well a lot has to do with him not being careful enough and a lot has to do with him wanting to continue to put stuff on walls ok, I think I have just answered my own question I think I am right and he thinks he is right I thought I may have needed a fish bowl in the right hand corner of the toilet with the fish swimming in opposite directions under a soft glowing downlight next to a green plant with a reclining buddha underneath....or something but it's just normal moving in to a new house behaviour by the sounds of my own answer. Is anyone else getting cranky at each other Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 2Jul 15, 2009 4:33 pm SuH and a lot has to do with him wanting to continue to put stuff on walls I think him wanting to put things on walls has everything to do with it!!! To 'cleanse' your relationship with feng shui.. you'd need to first work out yours and DH's feng shui numbers.. work out where the certain areas are in your house by using a compass.. and then work out if there are any 'problem spots' in any of your relationship areas. There could be something going on.. I'm by no means any expert.. but if things don't go my way I get cranky.. DP has learned to let things go my way most of the time to avoid any crankiness, can you teach DP to do this too? It's probably way easier then working out the feng shiu stuff. Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 3Jul 15, 2009 4:37 pm thanks erin, no he won't let me have my own way all the time, he has a very strong personality and I usually let him have his way but in the new place I don't want sh!t everywhere, I want clean, I want calm, I want him to stop shakin' it and use toilet paper but I am told it's not a manly thing to do *sigh* ah well Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 4Jul 15, 2009 4:50 pm SuH  thanks erin, no he won't let me have my own way all the time, he has a very strong personality and I usually let him have his way but in the new place I don't want sh!t everywhere, I want clean, I want calm, I want him to stop shakin' it and use toilet paper but I am told it's not a manly thing to do *sigh* ah well Tell him if he shakes it he has to clean it! Maybe my DP's shake is less.. but we don't get much 'splatter'. If we did.. he'd be cleaning it once a week until I'm satisfied.. I lived with a brother who was HORRIBLE with it.. it always stunk in there.. until my mum enforced the rule that he could use the lemon tree outside or clean the walls once a week.. he opted for the lemon tree. So lazy! I believe 'real men' know how to please women in all aspects of life.. not just the bedroom.. and if pleasing a woman means using toilet paper after taking a ***.. that's what he'll have to do! Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 5Jul 15, 2009 4:53 pm Suh, It sounds to me like you can still smell your houses "new car smell" and DH can't smell it anymore and its already not getting polished as much. I would point out to him not only is it manly to shake but its manly to let the lady of the house do the decorating. Just like Baby's sister said in Dirty Dancing......"you build it and I will make it look pretty" Maybe comprimise if that doesn't work and tell him you are decorating your way for the 1st 6 months and he can change it after that time if he still doesn't like it. Also he has plenty to do decorating his garage. As for the Fengs Sway .... keep telling him where he wants to put things is not needed for that chakra of your home and that the energy is pushing the dragons into his earth channel .. Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 6Jul 15, 2009 4:56 pm Oh dear SuH, this is a wee dilemma, I am so dumb, I read your first post and thought he was putting too many pictures on the walls Had to read down a bit before I realised what the real problem was Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 7Jul 15, 2009 5:02 pm Helyn Oh dear SuH, this is a wee dilemma, I am so dumb, I read your first post and thought he was putting too many pictures on the walls Had to read down a bit before I realised what the real problem was ROFL hahahaha, no you read right Helyn, he is actually putting too many mirrors, paintings etc on the walls he...he...he is only shakin it on the floor hahaha you lot are funny. My new tiles show up every drop of *dry reach* water and such and that in itself drives me insane Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 8Jul 15, 2009 5:09 pm gweluphome I would point out to him not only is it manly to shake but its manly to let the lady of the house do the decorating. Just like Baby's sister said in Dirty Dancing......"you build it and I will make it look pretty" Hmmmm..... quoting from Dirty Dancing to get relationship equilibrium... is this the first sign of the Apocolypse? I leave you to fend for yourself, figure things out yourself. I see the only way to reset the equilibrium is to bat my eyelids(only my eyelids) and quote Dirty Dancing or Steel Magnolias. This snaps him right back into place and thats when I take a bourbon out of the fridge, take a slurp and burp. Then the balance is back. Now do I have to remind you that nobody puts Baby in the corner. Bless him, he means well. And a lot of what he does is great... but some things make me or . I'm a bit scared about what he's going to get up to when the kids and I go back to school Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 15Jul 15, 2009 6:42 pm Oh Suh, you crack me up! We had a little 'splash' issue for a while there. The solution given to me was 'lets get one of those fluffy mats for the floor in the toilet' The concept of a toilet mat disgusts me now, just incase people are using it to 'mop up the spills' I can no longer stand anywhere near one! My advice - Dont let him have a mat! Make him scrub it every time you notice a 'splash mark'! And with the picture hanging issue and the floor rug...you've gotta be cruel to be kind - tell him its ugly, he might be a little hurt at first, but he'll get over it and end up letting you make the decorating decisions Building 'The Kingston' (with 'Boston' elevation) through Blueprint Homes in Hocking, Perth **PCI complete 06.02.10** My Thread - https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=17607 Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 16Jul 15, 2009 6:46 pm Helyn Oh dear SuH, this is a wee dilemma, I am so dumb, I read your first post and thought he was putting too many pictures on the walls Had to read down a bit before I realised what the real problem was +1 I'm having the exact same issue and it doesn't matter how I remind him.....nicely, sweetly, diplomatically, shortly, haven't reached angrily YET, but it WILL happen Built the Eden Brae Cambridge 34 Family with Boston Corner Facade Re: This may have nothing at all to do with Feng Shui....but 18Jul 15, 2009 7:01 pm Clever thinking Carmel!
