I'm not very experienced
It was written by a guy in Adelaide and he explains most feng shui principles for both Northern and Southerne hemispheres in a pretty simple to understand manner.

In the Ba Gua relationship area he talks about the entrance being the one that we call the "main entrance"
Be it on the left right or front of the house it is the door "we come home to"
and "leave from"
You then measure/setup the ba gua, ch'i etc, based on this door being the entrance to our house.

It also sorts out the north south roll it around in your head orientation conversions.
