Strange dreams

When we were building our house I noticed they placed the meter box on the external wall that is shared by our bedhead. The bed is a couple of metres away from the box itself.

Since we moved in my sleep is fairly restless, I dream a lot (last night it was a big black elephant and other oversized black animals sitting on roof tops
) and I find it hard to sleep in (alternatively it could be the light streaming thru the glass or the damn mortgage
).

Is there a problem having the bed against this wall and what can we do to minimize the effects?

I don't want to move the bed if possible.
I'm not sure about the Feng shui implications but there was a whole thread on this very topic of meter boxes behind bedroom walls (some comments more sensible than others
)

From a technical point of view, the only effect would be from the meter itself as there is electricity throughout your home. I would have thought that the electricity useage when you are asleep would be tiny. And therefore its affect through the meter would also be small. But you could test it by sleeping with your head at the other end of the bed - if there is any EMR affect the extra distance would reduce that effect to one quarter.

I must have missed that post Helyn, thanks for sharing the link.

We could move the bed but then it would be behind the door ... not a huge problem but when you walk past the doorway you would see .... yes an empty wall and our bed end.

Anyway the dreams might be more related to the new home (we've only been here 3 months) and you are right Ecoclassic ... the electricity consumption at night would be minimal (except the fridge).

Plus we have solar h/w and photo voltaic cells so surely that would offset things a bit. There was no way we could put the meter box on the garage anyway as it is on the boundary.

I guess I could be convinced to move the bed if someone gave me good reason. Currently our bedhead faces virtually west but it could go east or even north if it had to.

But black elephants and other big black animals sitting on the roof of houses ... and my dads voice telling me that the magpies (or was it crows) won the GF. Maybe its a premonition
... they all had black feathers
last time I had such a vivid dream my grandma passed away .. that time it was a black coach pulled by a team of black horses, and her voice telling me to buy a new black dress in a shop full of black clothes
.

I probably need a good psychotherapist
.
The head near the meter is not good from what I've read in books.

I'd also suggest you find your kua number which can help you place things and sleep in the right direction in the new abode.

Hope all this helps slow down the vivid dreams.

ps - Are they perhaps partially caused by the rich x-mas dinner you cooked
