Browse Forums Windows & Doors Re: Which seal to use? 12Aug 13, 2020 11:49 am I know the problem. We install our replacement windows in lots of different building-in situations. This could have been done differently with a better result. The fix will be a compromise. Maybe an aluminium box section all round would look like it's a single product rather than a fix-up. Then caulk the section especially at the sill, but be careful not to cover the drain holes. Tel. 1800 326 326 I need to replace the worn mohair seal on my sliding window, but I can't get access to the end to slide the old one out & push the new one in. I could probably rip the old… 0 5329 4 14673 That sucks! Hope it all works out. Good to move away from steel anyway for all your reasons, but it's also thermally poor. 16 18244 |
