Re: Double door vs single door? 5Jul 24, 2019 10:04 am We have double doors in our current home and yes, we seldom use the other door. It is very useful though when transporting larger items inside. In my opinion, I'd go with large single door. In our next build, we chose to have 1200mm pivot door. I always love the look of double doors, but I think larger doors look more modern. Re: Double door vs single door? 6Jul 24, 2019 8:24 pm We have 2.2m wide hallway so we can fit double, but thinking of going with 1200m wide single on hinges. Should we have that in the middle of entrance or towards the side so that door can stop at the wall? Not sure how would it stop otherwise if it is in the middle? Re: Double door vs single door? 8Sep 27, 2019 1:16 pm For me, I would have a standard door and a moveable sidelight. So that if i ever need a bigger entrance for large items, i can unlock the sidelight to make the entrance wider. Day to day use, the sidelight will be locked/fixed into position.
