Browse Forums Windows & Doors Re: Do bedroom door styles and closet doors need to match? 9Apr 18, 2019 10:58 am AJW How much is you builder charging for the 4 panel door, because the cost is not that much. Even based on Bunnings prices the cost difference is about $20-30 depending on door size. If you are just looking online for prices note that style door comes in hollow core and solid. Price I mention is hollow the solid version is closer to $150 per door. In your case I would go with the same doors as the doors lead into rooms. Though if they were doors that were clearly for a built in robes I would be happy with the plain doors. That’s what I’ve done in my new house. The three wardrobes all have flat plain doors but all the other doors are a bit more fancy. My old house had doors similar to what you like even on the built ins and whilst it looked ok, I think if prefer the plainer door I have on my robes now. Thanks. Yes we are doing the same as what you did in your new house. 4 panel doors for all bedrooms, WIR and ensuite doors. Then just flat doors for robe and linen doors. Our builder is charging us $35 per door in a standard 2040mm tall while $165 for 2340mm door. Our builder has offered us to only pay 60% to increase door height to 2340mm to upper floor but we've decided to just go for standard height to upstairs, to avoid having to upgrade to 4 panel door 2340mm height for $165 each. We have 4 bedrooms upstairs, 4 WIR, 4 ensuites + 1 toilet in the masters bedroom which I think will have 4 panel door as well and 1 powder room so it's quite a lot but for $35 each with good looking door, I think it's worth it. I like flat door as well to linen and robe doors. We just went to a display home where all have panel doors and got confused when I opened one of the linen doors as I thought it was leading to another room. Newbie question for flooring options.
