After initially considering dual blinds I am now leaning towards something like Luxaflex's Duette blinds. I like the idea of having the horizontal blinds that you can open from the top down to retain privacy while maximising sunlight. Would it look weird if we had both horizontal and vertical venetians (for the doors) in the same room? Does anyone have experience with this product? Approximate costs? http://www.luxaflex.com.au/au/en/exploringourproducts/duetteshades/duetteshades/sb.cn Re: Luxaflex Duette Blinds - Any Opinions? 2Aug 28, 2008 7:47 pm Haven't actually got any experience with them myself, but I went to a house that had them a couple of weeks back (checking the quality of a builder's work) and the owners of the house were very happy with them. They only had double glazed windows upstairs and had the duettes down stairs.
We will consider them if we do decide to get window coverings as they will be good for some of our odd shaped windows. A house where we are going to live have the blinds that go both up and down and it looks fantastic as they have a huge expansive window. I think they look very neat and modern.
I was told previously that they are quite expensive but that might have changed. Apparently the draw back is that spiders and dust get into the honeycomb but you use a hairdryer to clean them. A really good choice of window furnishings if you choose to go ahead and I would be interested in the price. mrs B You can put a roller blind behind the shutters.
