Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Sep 03, 2017 7:08 pm Do opaque windows let enough light in? We are thinking of having 3 square (600x600) windows going up on the wall next to our staircase. The builder suggested opaque but I am worried they won't let enough light in, as they will be the only windows in a 7.5m hall. Re: Opaque Windows? 2Sep 04, 2017 3:33 pm Got a floorplan? I agree with JB1 on the hall window, make it match the sidelights. If this is not covered by the overloooking regs, then use plain glass in the stair windows. Alternaively a skylight for the stairs.
