Even if you still want double glazing it can save you money while improving the overall heat loss situation.

Before you go down the double glazing route its worth checking on window size.

A very good link.
We're looking at getting double glazed windows on our new build. The price we've been quoted seems high, so was wanted opinions on costs, if its worth it, etc. We're building in the Southern Highlands.
Thanks.
Thanks.
If you want big picture windows, especially in the Southern Highlands where it can get cold, you'll want double or triple glazing, and if the frames are aluminium, they should be thermally broken. This is our house near Cooma, and with this much glazing that is the route we have gone.
