Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Feb 13, 2017 9:50 pm Hi all, i bought a house that is nearing completion and its is exactly what i wanted to have built myself except for one thing! The main entry door isnt as large as i wanted. The house has a wide hallway and also has taller ceilings, the door the builder used didnt use the space as much as i would have liked. My question is if my doorway is wide and tall and the builder used a narrow door with a glass panel next to it, will it be possible to remove and install a wider door or possibly a nice sturdy pivot door? Re: Pivot door after handover? 2Feb 14, 2017 9:39 am The opening will most likely have a lintel over it supporting roof loads. If you keep the same overall width as the existing frame (or smaller) then there shouldn't be any issue. I ran into trouble finding a lock that would fit my particular door, like your situation with your pivot door. I wanted a safe lock that couldn't be messed with easily. 4 25705 Can you give advice on how to get missing certificates needed for a form 21?
