Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Sep 05, 2016 7:22 pm Hi We are trying to make the tough decision on pivot vs hinged front entrance door. We are expecting a quote for a pivot (corinthian door) anyday now and it should be around the $3300 to $3500 mark (supply and install - no sidelights). We can buy a door from bunnings which looks EXACTLY the same but its hinged and door only costs $800 (door only). Firstly, do you need a security screen with hinged? My wife does NOT want a security screen. Secondly, is pivot worth the extra money? Cheers Agent009 Re: Pivot vs Hinged (help) 2Sep 07, 2016 12:49 pm IMO Pivot makes your opening narrower than hinges. Pivot can be dangerous as the pinch area is wide enough for arms. "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy.
