Can anyone recommend a good builder/installer who can do the installation and doesn't charge the earth? I am in Sydney - lower north shore. Thanks in advance. My husband visited their showroom in Shanghai and was impressed with the quality of their product. We're having German hardware fitted, including multi-point locking systems on the doors. I now just need to find an installer! Re: Installer Required for Double Glazed Door and Window Ins 9Jul 27, 2016 4:41 pm Installing Chinese designed windows is a little more complicated than the Australian ones, but it shouldn't be a problem... Tel. 1800 326 326 Re: Installer Required for Double Glazed Door and Window Ins 10Jul 30, 2016 12:53 am I've done this. Installation is quite tricky as they don't come with reveals. YY should supply special T-shaped profiles which slide into windows. Reveals are attached to them. Quality is good but I am disappointed at their thermal break frames. The plastic gap is only 5mm and frames inside are colder than I expected. As a result there is a noticable loss of heat through the frames, they are quite wide. I am in Canberra though. Re: Installer Required for Double Glazed Door and Window Ins 11Aug 02, 2016 12:28 pm Just for the record, the definition of thermally broken windows is... Thermally broken (TB) members: system members with a minimum of 5.30mm separation provided by a low-conductance material (where thermal conductivity is less than or equal to 0.5 W/m.K) or open air space between the interior and exterior surfaces. Such systems include members with exposed interior or exterior trim attached with clips and all skip/debridged systems". Lots of non-broken windows exceed the performance of many thermally broken windows, ours included.
