Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jun 11, 2016 10:56 am For our next house I am considering having dark window frames - possibilities of Colorbond colours I like include Basalt, Wallaby or Woodland Grey, maybe even Monument. I'm finding it difficult to find these colours online used for window frames. Does anyone have these coloured window frames in their house that they would mind sharing photos of both the outside and the inside? Many thanks. What are the dark coloured bricks on your facade? We are looking at building the Charlton 33 with Porter Davis and your facade and rear living area looks much like our plan. Please note that we are currently only at bricking stage; you can kind of see how they will look though. We have also picked monument for the garage door, gutters, downpipes. The front door will also be painted Monument. I love dark windows, they are a bit more dramatic or something. I'm now pretty much sold on using dark window frames - I'd like awning windows this time around so hoping the frames will only be around the perimeter of each window (i.e. mostly single glass panes). The next step will be choosing a brick and interior wall/architrave colours. Our current house has paperbark windows/doors but our wall colour (and architraves) inside are almost the same shade, so it all blends together - dark frames will definitely be a contrast to the internal colours. Wallaby fascia is actually surprisingly light as you can see in the below pics with moondust bricks and dune roof ... Not sure if this helps at all but as above mentioned I went lighter as worried about clashing inside Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ The below picture shows dune and wallaby on the shed to see how light wallaby can be Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Our Acreage Build viewtopic.php?f=31&t=82619 For your reference Performance Labels: Window assemblies in housing, except timber windows, must be labelled so the label can be seen when it is in situ.
