Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 May 18, 2016 5:33 pm Hi People, I am replacing my roller garage door with a sectional panel door, after a bit of discussion I ended up with Slim line color bond color - Caoba with Ranch style. My question is, has any one have this one as a garage door color? Is it a good wood color? I am nervous how it is going to look. I have attached a screen shot of how it looks in the emulator. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6-B_Pg9-w2teE9zTkJYS21zbW8/view?usp=sharing Other link with Monument Color is below https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6-B_ ... zAxNFVUSmM Need your expert advice guys. Re: New Garage Door - Caoba 3May 19, 2016 8:18 pm deejay08 To be honest I like the monument colour on your house! I agree, I prefer the monument colour. Mostly because I can't see any other timber on your home so the timber look garage door looks a little out of place. Monument looks sleek and modern. Just my opinion though Re: New Garage Door - Caoba 4May 20, 2016 2:29 pm Monument blends in with roof colour and there is a nice break between roof and garage door of the bricks. When you look at that picture you see the whole house. When you look at the house with the other colour, you mainly just notice the garage door. This means it is wrong. Your eye should be drawn to the whole house, when the colours work. That's why monument works much better New Garage Door - Caoba 5May 20, 2016 2:33 pm The Caboa colour is actually a deeper brown red than what you have pictured in reality. I'd personally only get it if there are other woods (same stain colour) on the home like a fence or door that can be seen on the st. Seeing as you don't and couldn't see a deck on the porch, save the extra cash that it would be to go caoba and do monument as others have suggested Re: New Garage Door - Caoba 6May 20, 2016 6:11 pm Hi vmoa, we were also worried how the Caoba colour would turn out, and it is indeed the better of the 2 colours that is offered. The Caoba is a rich dark wooden colour, as apposed to the cedar colour which lighter and in my opinion doesnt look nice. Re: New Garage Door - Caoba 7May 20, 2016 8:15 pm Does anybody have a pic of the caoba garage door on their home Re: New Garage Door - Caoba 9May 20, 2016 8:44 pm I like those ones that use rubber/plastic for the workings. They make no noise when they move. Re: New Garage Door - Caoba 10May 24, 2016 5:33 pm You should use steel door for your garage now a days in metal many of colors and styles comes in market, you can use steel doors in wood color style.

I like the fact that I don't have any other timber on my house as it provides a nice complementary accent. I think that often adding a small amount of a different colour and texture, especially something 'warm' like wood, looks much more interesting and classy than something that's trying to match other items. http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b572/MandyBarlow/Avalon/Now%20building/image.jpg3_zpsttvmuf1m.jpg http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b572/MandyBarlow/Mobile%20Uploads/photo%202_zpsxarqr5ce.jpg http://i1292.photobucket.com/albums/b572/MandyBarlow/Mobile%20Uploads/photo%201_zps0nm9x52r.jpg Re: New Garage Door - Caoba 12May 25, 2016 8:39 pm TomCat I have a Caoba door and think it finishes off my façade nicely and is my pick for your façade too.
