Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Dec 08, 2015 9:05 am I was wondering if anyone has installed a new window in a strata apartment in Sydney? I live in a small dark apartment with only one window and little ventilation. I have approached the strata manager and committee and they are receptive to the idea as the outer of the building is asymmetrical anyway so it would not look out of place. I need council approval and the process seems fairly simple for that I have the forms and have spoken to them already about the process etc. What I cannot find is a glazier that will quote for one window. I realise it is a complex job as it it a double brick wall on the first floor (above ground) so would require a lintel and has difficult access. I have spoken to a few places, they say a minimum of three to five windows. I realise the cost per window only getting one will be mich higher than getting more, but I only have 1 wall! And I think the difference it will make to light and ventilation would be worth the extra expense. Any help or tips or if anyone has ever done this and could point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
