I was wondering how their prices compared to buying the stock standard sizes supplied by large manufacturers. The prices that they have would be close to 2 to 3 times the price! But he did state that they were not cedar but hardwood. He said that he did not rate the durability of cedar windows. I have lived in 2 federation era homes and yes the windows were suffering from age, but were still serviceable and easily repaired. Also they stated that not all cedars are good cedars. I am going to paint the windows inside and out. Will this extend the life much? So any body shed some light or offer their experiences? I am looking at a bill of 25k+ for the standard cedar.
