Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Jul 25, 2015 10:44 pm Hi We have a 440 x 2400 window as a splash back behind the sink on one side of our kitchen. The window is very important as its on the N side of the house. It's tricky to get enough N light in as it's also on the neighbours side. There's no view to speak of out the window. Just a fence and a pretty ugly house. We were thinking of milky glass or something but I know this lets in less light. I don't want to compromise our important N light. What would you do? What finishes are available? Re: Glass kitchen splash back 2Jul 26, 2015 8:36 pm so its not a splash back at all then, its a window right? Re: Glass kitchen splash back 3Jul 26, 2015 9:23 pm rebuilder86 so its not a splash back at all then, its a window right? Yes, in lieu of a splashback. The rest of the splashback around the kitchen is stone. http://i387.photobucket.com/albums/oo319/leksola/kitchen.jpg Im wondering if it's best to plant out around the fence through the window or make the glass less transparent.. I don't want to lose light though. Re: Glass kitchen splash back 4Jul 27, 2015 9:09 am I would go for an obscure (but transparent to light) glass... ask your supplier what they have. Not sure about it blocking the light though sorry. I agree the pearls and white glass reflect some light. There are lots of designs in the clear variety. And there are films too...
