Hi
I have an aluminium sliding window that I'd like to replace the frosted glass with clear glass.
The sliding panel I can easily see how it comes apart....a self tapping screw in each corner.
The fixed panel has got me stumped. It's got a centre post (aluminium extrusion) holding the fixed panel in but no obvious screws or fittings holding the post in place. The fixed panel fits into a groove in the post and the other side of the post forms the seal when the sliding panel is shut.
Any ideas how the centre post would be held in........could it be held in just by the fixed panel in the groove and by it's length butting up to the top and bottom of the frame??
I'm a bit hesitant to start tapping the post with a hammer until I know how it's being held together.
Anyone have any ideas??
Cheers
Bloke
I've got some photos of the window but can't see how to add them to a post?
