Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Dec 19, 2014 7:35 pm Hi, I have a house from the 70s with those standard size aluminium house windows with the sliding window and timber in the middle. I decided to paint them black to give a modern feel but it has turned out to be a real pain. The timber part is bubbling, the paint is coming off as the window slides open etc. So I am about fed up with the windows and am not sure whether to plug on or just to replace the bloody things. Is anyone able to give me an insight into what I could expect cost wise to replace one of these windows including installation cost? If its a heap then I'll just have to plug on but its a little demotivating when painting to think that I could just replace them anyway.. Thanks.
