Our house plan has the master bedroom at the rear and two of the other bedrooms at the front of the house. These are the rooms we are planning on using for our kids bedrooms. The rooms have blinds in them at the moment but being they will be for kids, some added privacy is something we are looking into.
My first thought was roller shutters, great for security, would block out the light/noise for sleeping during the day etc. But then once they are opened you would be able to see straight through from the front yard/street into the rooms and I hate the idea that anyone driving past could see into the rooms if the blinds are up. Side issue is I don't particulary like the look of roller shutters but that isn't as big a deal as privacy for me.
So my next thought was window tinting, some neighbours have this, it would provide privacy during the day, and would also help with keeping the rooms cooler (front of the house in north facing so the rooms can get quite warm).
What does everyone think? What have you all done for front windows?
Thanks
