Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Aug 25, 2014 7:57 pm Hi everyone We are having a bit of a mare. We are currently doing some renovations. We have removed our beautiful bifold doors plus the frames as we are doing up the room where they live. They have been down for nearly 3 months and now we are ready to put them back. I was getting ready to put them back in and noticed we are missing a piece of the top track. The missing piece is approx 550mm in length. The missing track is made of aluminum, its the top track which guides the doors. We have looked everywhere but no luck!!! So we are now looking for this missing piece or at least get one made the does the job. So far we have connected a few door companies and because we did not buy the doors from them we are getting nowhere. We know the doors are approx 10+ years old so the hardware nowadays is different. I have tried Brio and got nowhere. Waiting to hear back from Centor, but not holding our breath! Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to resolve this mess. The door are solid jarah and the hinges and hardware are all rock solid. To not be able to put them up because we don't have this piece would be painful. Pic of the top track which is in two pieces (we are missing the short piece: The Rail is about 35mm by 51mm approx. From what I can remember you remove the access panel piece to remove the doors and like wise to put back in. Re: Bifold doors Help 4Aug 26, 2014 12:41 pm mgilla Is the missing piece from the end of the access panel. If it is it may be the case there was never a piece of track there as the top rollers dont need to got right to the end. Just a thought. Exactly.... a piece that you don't need. The track runs from one side to the hinged access door because it holds the panels that are on rollers. But the hinged part has no rollers. Also, in any case, this piece would need to be removed to slide the panels onto the track... same with aluminium bifold doors, there is a cutout in the track.
