Single glazed windows

Hi, I have our sofa sitting in front of the bay window in the family room. On cold days it is freezing. Is the only solution to rip them out and get double glazed windows?
The type of window coverings you have can help.

There are some add on secondary glazing systems, but they will cost at least as much as pulling them out and fitting new. So, yes.
