We liked the Tilt-and-turn windows because frankly they are quite novel in the way they function. Trouble is, this window opens up inwards and our house is two storeyed so installing a removable screen mesh is a bit confusing... I was wondering if this window type is popular in Australia? We can't put up the mesh on the inside as this window tilts inwards, and putting it on the outside will make the exteriors look ugly and just defeat the purpose of this renovation. Take a look at retractable flyscreens as an option. They are fitted to the inside and the the window and come down like a roller blind when needed and then roll up when not in use. There is not bottom track so they look very clean. Also there is no permanent screen over the window so you get clear vision through.
