Hi all, my friend was asking me if the upper panel of a first floor window can be sliding instead of awning, as he wants more ventilation.
Due to overlooking regulation, the lower part of this window will be fixed and frosted. This window complies with the 1.7m high regulation. And his builder told him windows like this but with sliding is not normal, need special order and will incur extra costs.
In fact, I have never seen any sliding windows like this (lower part fixed, upper part is sliding).
Can someone please give me some advice?
