Browse Forums Windows & Doors Re: Glazing IDs for double glazed windows 2Feb 13, 2014 10:56 am manger Hello, I looked at the WERS website to compare different DG windows. "Ar" stands for Argon filled and "Clr" is obviously for a clear glass. However, I am a bit lost with other glazing options like EA, ET, Sx, GyLam, ClrLam, Gry and some others. Could anyone explain to me or refer to the website with explanations of glazing IDs ? What is the code for E-glass coat ? If you hover your cursor over the glazing codes, all will be revealed. But many codes refer to proprietary brands, so you will need to Google to gain a better understanding. From memory, EA = Energy Advantage, GyLam = Grey Laminated etc. If you want to compare windows, then stick to clear glass in the DG, then it's a level playing field. Then when you look at upgrading, the difference will be the same using the upgraded glazing in the compared items. Clear glass is the leveler.
