Browse Forums Windows & Doors 1 Aug 11, 2013 5:15 pm Hi, We have a Raven RP3 door seal on a rear wooden garage door in our house built a year ago but water still makes its way onto the garage floor underneath. It is not a lot of water and only when there is heavy rain but I have been leaving a towel there and the last time it rained the towel was saturated with water. We have contacted the builder about this three times now, the last two times they came and put some silicon in the area and put a metal strip in front of the door strip on the bricks which are the sill. We do not have eaves on our house so every time it rains heavily water comes in under the door, if I put my hand under I can feel water on the bottom of the door. The builder's maintenance guy admitted that there was a better type of door weather seal more suited to a door that did not have any outside cover and the one put on ours was more suited to a door a porch say. At our three month maintenance we noticed that the door that was there was totally warped inside and had to be replaced, so am suspicious about the amount of water that might have affected it. The builder just replaced that door but did not look into what had happened to it. So the last time I contacted our builder about this water ingress they basically just never responded. It has now been two months. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this and whether it is worth taking it further with the builder or just getting a better weather seal put in ourselves.
