Has anyone done it this way and any problems you could see, looks, practical etc? Thank you for any advice. Is it really necessary to have sheers with verticals? They are quite private on their own.I have never heard of it being done before. Re: Sheer curtains under Vertical blinds 4Jul 13, 2013 7:16 pm Hi onebuild, Have you looked at verticals like Luminettes (Luxaflex)? Kresta also have their own version of it. They have the sheer curtain integrated in the vains. It might be worth a look although they are expensive. Hi Fiona, I had not thought about the sheers getting in the way of the open verticals so I would have to make sure the track extends past this to make it work. Yes it may look bulky or even busy so not sure on this one. I like the idea of verticals and sheers because i can draw the verticals past the window frame to let full sunlight in during winter with the privacy of the sheers. Also the face mounted verticals have the advantage of better light control when needed, ie shift work and you can add a pelmet to hide the track. CC101 i have seen this and looked fine to me. Hi CC101, This is great that it has been done before so I might try one bedroom window to see if I like it too. robinred55 Hi onebuild, Have you looked at verticals like Luminettes (Luxaflex)? Hi robinred, Yes I have seen these and two reasons I'm not keen on them are the price and when the vertical is drawn showing the sheer the wind can blow them around, this is why I like the idea of a sheer curtain during the day. I have four huge windows in the living area that get great summer breezes but has zero privacy, the summer sun comes off these four windows at 9 am so I can draw the verticals back and enjoy the rest of the day in cool comfort Thank you for everyone's ideas very helpful Electrical just got back to me and said the most they can provide is a single power point on the Bedroom 1 side of that wall.
