Examples which could leave you liable (especially if you are a landlord): -
- Safety glass to all doors & adjacent glass.
- Restricted opening to 1st floor windows.
- Manifestations to all glass doors (motif on the door)
And if you change your openings to be unrestricted, you will be liable for any injury, and you won't be covered by insurance.
Similarly if you remove manifestations or the overlooking obscure film or glass.
I know some things don't look good, but just be aware that you may leave yourself exposed if you change these.
Landlords need to be especially wary because the tenant is not family and is more likely to sue you.
